This stunning new BENI OURAIN has a special feature: its pattern is abstract and native to tribal regions of the atlas mountains region of Khenfra.

using 100% wool and new detailing using hand knotting process, double knotting and black weaving through out.

I named it BADRIYA after the moroccan girls name meaning "full moon". I hand selected this piece seeing it laying on the top of the moroccan rooftops, my dear friend who just freshly washed this beauty had it laying under the moroccan sun to soak up the good energy. i instantly fell in love with it and its unique look.

Each vintage and new Moroccan rug is hand woven and knotted by Berber women of the tribal region specified. This level of craftsmanship can take weeks or months to complete a single rug. Weaving techniques have been passed down through the generations. The patterns, designs, and colors in each rug vary with each rug, weaver, and tribe – so each piece is truly a unique work of art and 2 pieces will never be the same. Often these rugs have been handed down through the families who created them, and have been uncovered from the mountain and rural areas of Morocco.
