An Insiders Sleep Guide to Marrakesh
The smell of orange blossom, lavender and mint comes to mind when i think of when sleeping in Marrakesh.. These aromatic fragrances are often floating languid in many Moroccan riads as soon as you walk in, you are immediately transported into an oasis of peace, tranquility and beauty that you never imagined was possible.
My list for places to stay in Marrakesh is always changing and evolving as there are over hundreds of beautifully crafted riads on offer. Riads traditionally used as homes for Moroccans and now accommodation for travelers has been a ' must ' to stay in when visiting morocco. Not only are you centered where the locals live but you get to experience the ' real ' side of morocco. You wake up to the call of prayer, you can hear the donkeys walking outside, children playing on the street corners, you may even get lost trying to find your way out onto the main square but that is all the most exciting parts of staying in morocco.
